OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Primary Care and/or surgical experience preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and possess strong computer skills. Must be flexible and willing to handle extended hours and on-call responsibilities (evenings, weekends, and holidays).

Position Summary

DRS NIS has a unique opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer Level II to join a high performance production engineering team in our Melbourne Florida facility.
This position is working with electro-optical systems, infrared systems, ruggedized network computers and displays for military platforms that can be deployed and subjected to harsh environments.
The candidate is responsible for implementing cost efficient manufacturing methods to include setup of new production tooling and equipment, as well as develop processes to instruct manufacturing department personnel.
Manufacturing process knowledge will be used to assess costing data of parts and assemblies and will work closely with engineering, program management, supply chain, and manufacturing on new development and existing production products to achieve objectives in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Applies advanced engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation in support of manufacturing operations.
* Partners with design engineering to ensure product designs are manufacturable.

U nder minimal supervision, performs the duties of a Public Safety Officer II for the Public Safety department. What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, youll need:

3 years of experience in a warehouse

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and take a reach truck or cherry picker to a height of 23+ feet in non-climate controlled environments

Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and RF guns

·
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

·
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written communication)

·
Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

·
Legally eligible to work in the United States
