Standard

1. Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on: motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
2. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments such as laser alignment tools, stethoscope, tachometer, infrared camera, ultra sound and vibration analysis tools.
3. Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand /power tools.
4. Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
5. Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
6. Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
7. Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
8. Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions, requests and completing feedback documentation.
9. Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
10. Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
11. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
12. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
13. Mechanical / Technical Understanding – Mechanical Fundamentals: mechanics, lubrication, understanding maintenance documents, pumps, piping systems, welding/cutting (stick, mig, tig and torch). 14. Know where to look up and how to use VWI, JSA, and Equipment Lockout Analysis sheets associated with this position.
15. Must learn the location and operation of all safety devices within assigned work area and ensure that they are functioning properly at all times.
16. Demonstrate knowledge of when, where and how to use standard and specialized personal protective equipment (PPE).
17. Demonstrate knowledge of all department emergency procedures and location and use of emergency equipment.
18. Demonstrate ability to protect himself/herself and co-workers from potential safety hazards.
19. Demonstrate knowledge of the plants confined space program & procedures.
20. Demonstrate the ability to cooperate with other workers in the areas of safety, quality, and production/maintenance and understand importance of completing assigned tasks and their relationship to other requirements.

Position Summary:

The Mechanical Engineering at Daylight will be responsible for supporting the mechanical design and analysis of laser products, tools and fixtures. Working with a multi-disciplinary design team, they will execute the mechanical design, analysis and assembly process including prototyping, calculations, FEA, and testing. The successful candidate would be able to compile/review data and perform analysis (hand calculations and FEA) to make design decisions and implement them in CAD. Along with design, they will conduct formal reviews, support failure analyses and proposals.

* Experience with CAD software package. Solidworks and PDMWorks preferred.
* Experience with FEA package. ANSYS Structural and Icepak preferred.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

* Bridges the gaps between Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, and Software Engineering to ensure that all components work together efficiently and properly in the finished system.

* Participate in overall test program including execution of system level tests.

The Preventative Maintenance Technician will work on our second shift, which runs from 1:30 pm – 12:00 am (midnight), Monday-Friday and will also require working every other Saturday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. To be considered you must have your own tools and at least 1 year of experience as a Preventative Maintenance Technician working on heavy trucks, or a certification/diploma in Diesel Technology

Koch Fertilizer Beatrice, LLC is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in Beatrice, NE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for plant health, small capital projects, and optimization while working with plant leadership to improve reliability, efficiency, and capability. A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

* EH&S Excellence and permitting

Deliver accurate data to environmental group for any permitting needs (releases, excursion, etc.)

Manage PSI information related to process (P&IDS, PFDs, relief valve documentation, alarm & trip summary, etc.)

Provide sound engineering judgment in MOC’s and PHA’s to ensure plant- wide process safety
* Run IT Cost, Energy, and Capital Effectiveness

Identify and remove plant constraints and lead process health monitoring daily

Trend performance of equipment, catalyst, and resins daily and properly communicate

Support standard operating control limits and provide proper framework to review, manage, and challenge to ensure proper settings
* Project support

Provide process support to project teams.

Identify opportunities and improvements.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:
* Strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, plant reliability, production excellence and personal accountability
* Able to identify root project opportunities improvements
* Basic understanding of thermo-dynamics
* Basic understanding of mass & energy balances
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience in a major petrochemical plant or refinery
* Experience performing or managing engineering for small projects
* Prior experience creating equipment specs and understands basic practices and industry standards for documentation and execution of the engineering functions in a chemical plant
* Prior experience in plant performance evaluation and management including modeling and troubleshooting
* Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering

Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to enter plant operating sites to access and inspect equipment. Inspections will include utilizing ladders and platforms in excess of 100 feet, entering confined spaces and be capable of utilizing all required personal protective equipment.

Environmental Permitting and Compliance Specialist (Richmond)

ERM is seeking a Staff Environmental Permitting and Compliance Specialist in our Richmond, VA office to assist with environmental impact assessment and regulatory compliance for energy facilities and energy-related development projects in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern US. This position will focus on midstream oil and gas projects, electric transmission lines, and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission-regulated natural gas pipeline projects. Projects are often fast-paced, multi-faceted, and geographically diverse. The position will require the candidate to work both independently and on project teams, and to possess the capacity to manage varying priorities and multiple tasks to work on concurrent projects and meet project deadlines. The candidate will have the opportunity to serve as a project team resource, task manager, on multi-disciplinary projects depending on experience and qualifications. RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist in preparing permit applications where required by federal, state or local environmental regulatory authorities for energy development, expansion, maintenance, or decommissioning projects.
* Perform project delivery activities such as report writing, data collection and survey field work, data and literature review, and development of recommendations for clients.
* Assist with the development of project plans and schedules, set up projects in project management software, and assist with the development of project management reporting, such as monthly progress reports.
* Participate in agency consultations, project meetings, and client communications.
* Collaborate with other ERM practitioners to execute impact assessment and capital project permitting (ERM services broadly include environmental impact assessment, routing studies, land planning, facility siting & permitting, and risk assessment and water resources management).
* Travel up to 20% of the time, for agency meetings, project team meetings, or to conduct site visits, environmental training, or fieldwork.
* Build strong collaborative relationships with other ERM employees.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelors or Masters degree in environmental studies, planning, geography, civil or environmental engineering or related natural resources science field of study.
* 1 to 5 years of environmental impact assessment and natural resources permitting experience, including consulting for private-sector clients.
* Working knowledge of key natural resource regulations, including the National Environmental Policy Act, Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act, and Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act is preferred.
* Some experience with federal, state, and local permitting in Virginia is preferred (VDEQ, VDGIF, VMRC, USFWS, USACE etc.).
Similar experience in surrounding states is a plus.

* Experience conducting desktop and online studies or research on natural resource or resource planning topics, Geographic Information System, map interpretation (National Wetland Inventory, U.S. Geological Survey, aerial photography).
* Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite software.
* Demonstrated ability to research and prepare concise and accurate technical documents.
* Keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative member of a project team.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills, which includes being comfortable and effective at communicating complex technical knowledge and concepts to other staff, clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
