Pratt & Whitney East Hartford Repair Operations (EHRO) is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer. EHRO is made up of two business units, Connecticut Rotating Parts (CTRP) and Connecticut Stator & Components (CTSC). The CNC programmer would be responsible for the development, tryout, and troubleshooting of all CNC related programs required to accomplish repairs. The individual will be responsible for creating programs for turning, grinding, and milling operations. Display the ability to understand machine functionality within the business and troubleshoot program problems efficiently and quickly. The individual would be integrated within the process engineering team supporting process development from the machine program side.

The CNC programmer would be expected to provide on-site support troubleshooting programs with operators and the engineering team. The expectation is also to create new programs upon request and work with the operator through tryout and certification. The candidate will be the technical expert for program and machine issues. They will be involved in creating standard work for machine interface and operation, as well as program interpretation. The candidate will also be the point of contact for management for consultation on any machine or program related issues. Experience with robotic programming for plasma spray, Waterjet, and CMM programming is a plus, but not required.

Qualification:

* US Citizenship required.
* 5 years of experience developing CNC programs and tool selection.
* 5 years of experience setting up CNC equipment and proving-out programs for first piece.
* Strong understanding of blueprint reading and geometric tolerance (GD&T).

F135 Fleet Logistics Specialist

This is a mid-shift position (3rd Shift). The Fleet Logistics Specialist (FLS) will deliver Supply Chain Management (SCM) products and services in support of the F-35’s Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F135 Propulsion System Low Rate Initial Production and Flight Test programs.

The FLS will be a key player on a team that continuously refines material item management and logistics support capabilities through the practical application of the ACE operating system fundamentals.

The FLS will be involved in all aspects of F135 Initial & Replenishment Spares support, from final planning on the range & depth of spares to be ordered, to spares sales order placements, sales order follow-ups, expedites, and delivery statusing.

The FLS will analyze spares redistribution decision support data, then directly engage in the redistribution of spare materials to support fleet global availability goals.

The FLS will coordinate with the Delivery Assurance organization to highlight, track, and report on delivery performance issues.

The FLS will also proactively monitor spares’ forecasts & usage at the operational sites and at the Heavy Maintenance Center (HMC), and coordinate appropriate spares redistribution actions to satisfy forecasted demand.

This position affords the incumbent the opportunity to be involved in the rapid expansion of the F135 operational support construct.

The 3rd shift FLS will serve as the primary spares focal point for JSF partner nations (Norway, Italy, UK), and our Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.

This position requires a person that has F135 engine hardware experience. The individual in this position will track all EI metrics, including generating EI metrics for F135 PLM leadership. The EI Lead will have to assist CSE Hardware Supervisor & Hardware CSE’s with planning EI gate reviews with all customers, as well as coordinate EI report deliveries to Legal. This individual will need to be able to lead engineering discussions with our internal CIPT, Rolls Royce and JPO customers relating to major field and depot issues, offering solutions to various issues. EI Lead will also interact with PW Quality personnel related to Quality & Reliability Investigations, tracking delivery of final reports to JPO customers and offer ideas to process improvements. Individual will also be required to assist with improving and generating standard work, related to the EI & Quality processes.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field
* 4+ years’ of experience working in an engineering related job, such as manufacturing, structure, design, mechanical, or other engineering field .

* Excellent written and oral communication skills
