This is a mid-shift position (3rd Shift). The Fleet Logistics Specialist (FLS) will deliver Supply Chain Management (SCM) products and services in support of the F-35’s Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F135 Propulsion System Low Rate Initial Production and Flight Test programs.

The FLS will be a key player on a team that continuously refines material item management and logistics support capabilities through the practical application of the ACE operating system fundamentals.

The FLS will be involved in all aspects of F135 Initial & Replenishment Spares support, from final planning on the range & depth of spares to be ordered, to spares sales order placements, sales order follow-ups, expedites, and delivery statusing.

The FLS will analyze spares redistribution decision support data, then directly engage in the redistribution of spare materials to support fleet global availability goals.

The FLS will coordinate with the Delivery Assurance organization to highlight, track, and report on delivery performance issues.

The FLS will also proactively monitor spares’ forecasts & usage at the operational sites and at the Heavy Maintenance Center (HMC), and coordinate appropriate spares redistribution actions to satisfy forecasted demand.

This position affords the incumbent the opportunity to be involved in the rapid expansion of the F135 operational support construct.

The 3rd shift FLS will serve as the primary spares focal point for JSF partner nations (Norway, Italy, UK), and our Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in material and/or logistics management, or supply chain management.

Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of PW/UTC internal supply policies, practices, and standard work is highly desired, as is proficiency in the complete range of SAP spares-related transactions.

Familiarity with engine Bills of Material, spares configuration management databases, and spares forecasting tables is highly desired.

Background in analytical skills : individual must be able to organize, logically analyze and present spares information that may be pulled in from several info systems.

A working knowledge of current Department of Defense engine material and logistics support concepts is beneficial.

Transportation coordination experience and knowledge of export/import rules and guidance are also a big plus.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required.

The UTC Re-Empower Program is a return to work program that helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey.

The program consists of a 16-week comprehensive cohort assignment, which offers a rich and rewarding experience and mentorship for program participants transitioning back into the workforce after a 2+ year career break, for reasons such as childcare, eldercare, career path change, illness, retirement or other personal matters. Selected experienced professionals will gain paid, on-the-job experience, have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and receive coaching to guide their return to work experience. Upon completion of the 16-week program, based on performance, Re-Empower participants may have an opportunity to convert to a full-time role.

The F100 engine program that powers the F-15 and F-16 has an opening for an experienced, motivated, self-starting Customer Support Engineer. Resolve technical issues on Hot Section hardware by performing the following activities:

Lead field investigations and drive corrective action.

Demonstrate a sense or urgency by supporting Field Service Representatives and customers at US Bases and non-US locations, and program management.

Develop logistics plans and implement corrective actions.

Drive customer satisfaction by influencing the design for supportability, maintainability, and life cycle cost.

Lead the CIPT and provide support for system activities in developing and executing field implementation plans for new configuration hardware.

Coordinate activity to resolve issues affecting engine readiness and customer satisfaction.

Military Engines Int F135 Model Cell (Tinker) Ops Leader

In this highly visible and critical role, the International Operations Leader will work with matrix teams responsible for the integration of military sustainment requirements inside the United States and will serve as the international depot operations lead to the various Program Offices, specifically F135 Program. The incumbent will mentor the matrix team responsible for ensuring fleet requirements and partnering with production, supply chain and repair centers to ensure the support of world-wide fleets for international military engine customers.

Responsibilities

Work with the Tinker team to identify and establish the “Gold Standard” for F135 overhaul worldwide. Work closely with the Depot Operations Leader to ensure smooth transfer of learning into the international depots.

Work closely with the Program Offices, Various Government Agencys, industrial, supply chain, F135 Depot/FACO activation and repair centers to integrate, execute and communicate activities related to aftermarket requirements and deliveries.

Visit major stakeholders to increase understanding of their requirements aligned with the needs of the program leads.

Collaborate with internal functional organizations (logistics, program, Integrated Product Management Team (IPMT), technical/engineering, contracts, legal, financial, business development) and the Program Office to determine current and future customer requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.

Ensure aftermarket program critical issues are identified, communicated, elevated and acted on in a timely fashion.

Drive the evaluation of repair development to ensure improvement in its product offerings and operational efficiency.

Support export compliance activities related to all foreign customers and industry partners.

Provide strategic leadership for Pratt & Whitney’s military overhaul business bases internationally and ensure proper resource allocation for the Operations team.

Develop policies and procedures to enable execution of business plans within corporate requirements and objectives.

Report to Sustainment Operations leadership on performance and significant events using structured, standard reports. Provide senior level briefings to the company and customer senior management aligned with the needs of the program leads.

Ensure that the businesses have complied with all regulatory requirements for Pratt & Whitney financial information reporting, disclosure requirements and internal controls over financial reporting.

Implement ACE Operating System and drive the control tower metrics to meet ACE Gold criteria.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

Candidate will have 10 years of related experience in operations management, engineering, supply or program management.

3 years experience with export requirements.

US Citizenship required due to DoD Secret clearance and/or ability to obtain a Secret clearance requirement.

5 years of experience with MRO engines and/or associated support systems desired.

5 years of operations management experience with engine production, new part procurement and/or component overhaul & repair desired.

Preferred candidate will be familiar with the technical / logistic field support processes and engine maintenance practices

ACE associate preferred.

Technical understanding of propulsion systems and their components.

Strong organizational, teaming, interpersonal and communication skills are required. Candidate must be detail and results oriented with good problem solving skills and the ability to deliver on commitments while balancing strategic, business and competing priorities.

Education: B.S. in Engineering and/or Business is required with a MBA or advanced degree preferred.
