Registered Nurse Adult Emergency Department
36 Hours Nights with every other Weekend, every other Holiday

The registered nurse adheres to the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing, and is primarily responsible for professional performance and direct patient care. The role encompasses nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the health care continuum. The registered nurse is accountable for clinical, educational, quality and fiscal patient care outcomes using the model of care designed by the nursing department and in accordance with established agency policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines and standards of practice.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associates degree or Baccalaureate degree in nursing, BSN preferred. Candidates who do not have a BSN must be enrolled in a Baccalaureate program within 6 months of hire and must complete their BSN within 36 months of hire.
* Registration and current RN licensure in the state of MA in good standing required.
* Current basic life support (BLS) certification required.
* Recent RN experience in ED

Mother Baby Unit Yawkey Building
Status: Part time 32 Hours
Schedule: Days, with every other weekend

Responsible for the overall clerical functions of the nursing station/front desk. Working collaboratively with the clinical team, the Unit Coordinator participates in delivery of patient care by providing a variety of clerical, customer relations, and support services to patients, their families/visitors, and healthcare team members.
* High school diploma or GED certificate required
* Requires one year of previous experience as a nursing assistant in an acute hospital setting, or is enrolled in a nursing program and has completed two cycles of clinical rotation or success completion of an approved certified nursing assistant training
* Previous mother baby experience preferred

Registered Nurse- Orth/Rehab-rotating shifts- 32 hours a week

We are seeking an experience BSN prepared nurse to work on 3 west or Ortho/ Rehab unit. This position is 32 hours a week rotating shifts, 2 out of 6 weekends, with holiday rotation.3 West is 24-bed unit, this area cares for patients of all ages. This unit is designated for, acute rehabilitation of both traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury, comprehensive rehabilitation and ventilator-dependent rehabilitation patients with tracheostomies. Additional services include orthopedic surgical care, medically complex pediatric patients, neurosurgery and nonsurgical neurologic care as well as Video EEG studies.
Special equipment includes ventilators, portable suction, feeding pumps, bipap and cpap machines, infusion pumps and wound vacutainers. Each bed is also equipped with bedside monitors and computers, compressed air, oxygen and vacuum hook up for suction.
Patient care unit goals are to provide high quality, cost effective care. Patient and Family Centered Care is the nursing model used to provide care for all patients. Patients and families needs are assessed, interventions provided and outcomes evaluated based upon departmental policies and procedures as well as multidisciplinary standards of care and practice. This unit also provides education to families and caregivers, to ensure they are comfortable caring for their child. The unit participated in a CARF survey in 2017 in which the Rehabilitation Program received a full accreditation.

Individuals and services providing care on 3 West:
· The Divisions of Orthopedic Surgery and Pediatrics both with board certified physicians, fellows and residents.
· The Division of Rehabilitation, consisting of 3 board-certified physiatrists/pediatricians. This division also provides residents, program managers.
· The Divisions of Neonatology, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Pulmonology.
· Advanced Practice Nurses are available for all patients and work collaboratively with the appropriate service physician.
· A nurse manager has 24-hour accountability for management and leadership of the staff.
· A registered nurse assumes a charge nurse role on all shifts and is responsible for the coordination of unit activities and the evaluation, anticipation and communication with the nursing supervisor.
· Unit clerks/nursing assistants assist the staff and families in facilitating communications with other units and departments of the hospital. They may also perform limited aspects of patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
· A complete complement of ancillary services including, but not limited to, Laboratory, Radiology, Respiratory, Therapeutic Services, Nutrition, Social Work and Pharmacy.
· The Rehabilitation Team provides a multidisciplinary approach to Rehabilitation patients. A board-certified physician directs the team.
· Registered Nurses providing care are BLS, and PALS certified. Other certifications include CPN and CRRN.
