The Non-Intensive Diabetes Therapies (NDT) Territory Manager (TM) will manage territory base business and growth by promoting, selling, supporting Medtronic Diabetes Type 2 products and services – specifically across the broader Primary Care Physician (PCP) space. This person will be tasked with successfully partnering cross-functionally with other business units within Medtronic in order to drive professional CGM growth and other NDT products in high potential accounts within the outlined geography(ies).

A DAY IN THE LIFE:
* You will conduct sales calls to promote, sell, and service Medtronic Diabetes Type 2 products and services to existing and potential physicians across the primary care (PCP) and other identified channels
* You will deliver innovative programs and solutions that are aligned to the customers’ needs in order to drive increased adoption and utilization of Medtronic products
* You will implement quarterly sales plan to achieve sales goals and objectives. Expectation to increase utilization of Medtronic products within the existing install base while successfully growing that customer base organically at the same time
* You will educate physicians, nurses, educators, and other referral sources regarding the importance of Type 2 diabetes management, continuous glucose monitoring and other NDT products
* You will work directly with patients
* You will provide product and therapy technical support and service, including consultation at staff in-services and physician seminars
* You will fiscally manage territory by controlling expenses, product returns, and product inventory
* You will build and maintain relationships with referral sources to establish a solid base of business
* You will assist in establishing the company as the leader in diabetes products in the community by participating in community organizations such as local chapters of ADA (American Diabetes Association), AADE (American Association of Diabetes Educators), JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and patient support groups
* You will coordinate daily support activities and customer activities at meetings as assigned
* You will complete administrative reporting as assigned
* You will actively attend and engage in meetings and conference calls as required
* You will utilize approved sales collateral to support promotional and territorial needs
* You will partner with cross-functional teams and internal resources
* You will demonstrate sound judgment and fiscal responsibility in managing all aspects of the assigned territory’s business – to include sales, relationships, and fiscal expense budget(s)

MUST HAVE – MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor’s Degree
* 3 years of field sales experience
NICE TO HAVE:
* Experience in medical sales industry strongly preferred
* Prior experience in B2B sales strongly preferred
* Experience calling directly to Primary Care Providers (PCP) strongly preferred
* Previous sales award recipient due to strong sales performance (i.e. President’s Club, Rookie of the Year).
* Knowledge of Diabetes products and therapies
* Strong understanding of diabetic therapeutic area and the current diabetes marketplace and industry
* Strong data analysis, evaluation and problem solving skills
* Demonstrable success in previous employment indicated by high level of sales performance.
* Must demonstrate deep understanding of the customer to drive, challenge and push thinking
* Demonstrated experience in making multiple referral calls on a daily basis
* Proven job skills in business planning/consulting and territory financial analysis
* Ability to execute sales strategies in a complex, multi-faceted environment
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills; team oriented; conceptual/consultative sales skills
* Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
* Ability to exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
* Must successfully complete sales training
* Experience in managed care (payer) environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
