Under general supervision, performs these daily and other necessary duties, following established practices set forth in the Manufacturing Instructions Manual, written Plant Safety Programs and instruction from the Electrical Engineer.
* Abides by all company policies, plant safety regulations, work rules and code standards,
* Abides by all applicable quality policies,
* Performs troubleshooting and modification of hardwire relay logic, motor control circuits, variable frequency and DC motor drive systems, motor power circuits (120V to 480V 3phase) and common utility / lighting circuits using proper test equipment and electrical prints,
* Performs troubleshooting and modification of PLC based systems and modifies control logic when required,
* Performs installation, setup, calibration, and field fault analysis on analog instrumentation and instrument loops,
* Performs installation of new control circuits, modification of existing instrument/electrical systems as requested, to include design, load, and implementation of new control logic,
* Supports DeviceNet, ControlNet, and Ethernet data communication systems,
* Determines root cause of equipment failure and performs corrective maintenance and proposes preventive maintenance accordingly,
* Maintains equipment documentation and controls distribution of prints and other documents needed for troubleshooting and repair of critical plant equipment, and
* Assists the Maintenance Department in support of all plant operations.
