IT Systems Analyst

CO-OP Financial Services provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a talented
Systems Analyst II to be responsible for assisting in formulating and defining system scopes and objectives. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements and analyzing system problems; designing and testing standards and solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and maintain procedures to manage processes and issues relating to production support
* Build strong internal and external partnerships.
* Proactively pursues development opportunities and show expected progress on learning plan.
* Develop appropriate requirements, scope, and estimates.
* Investigate and analyze problems or requirements from a business perspective and design solutions.
* Communicate consistently and effectively with internal business partners to understand appropriate requirements.

Responsibilities
* BS in Computer Science / Computer Information Systems or equivalent degree, or equivalent experience can be substituted for degree.
* Knowledge of Modern OS architecture concepts and communications protocols
* Basic database design and development.
* Basic modern graphical user interface and development methodologies.
* 3 – 5 years experience in an operational, systems or programming position involving analysis, problem solving and planning.
* Fundamental software development methodologies, design and implementation.
* Knowledge of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
* Knowledge of finance and credit card systems is preferred.
* 3 5 years experience with Microsoft Office Professional and Microsoft SQL.
* Basic to Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills at multi-product/multi-environment level to troubleshoot system defects and mitigate the issues they cause.
* Basic to advanced skills in research and analysis, project planning and implementation. Understanding and awareness of business issues as they impact overall project plans.
* Good verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express and document complex technical concepts in business terms. Person must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with technical staff, non-technical staff, end-users for requirements gathering, testing, training, and outcome validation.
* Good team-oriented interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional project team environment.
* Fundamental understanding of concepts of project planning and project management techniques to assist in small projects and/or group initiatives.
