Pratt & Whitney, a recognized leading producer of the world’s most advanced Commercial and Military Turbine Engines, is seeking a highly motivated, technically talented individual, who has a true desire to lead and coach in a dynamic operations environment to support our Hot Section Module Center.

The Cell Leader will be responsible for overall management of 1st shift operations, to ensure customer/business objectives are met. Individual will work closely with all cell leaders and the HSMC South leadership team to ensure resources, quality issues and other objectives are met.

The successful candidate will provide direction to skilled HSMC South bargaining unit employees, leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts guided by our Control Tower objectives. ACE is our operating system and we will look for this individual to lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction through the system’s various elements. In addition to daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication and execution with support group members is critical to the department’s success.

Typical duties may include, but not limited to the following:
* Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes
* Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities
* Assist in making annual and monthly financial targets and develop plans to meet the targets
* Delegate effectively to develop personnel and effectively balance workload
* Work proactively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals
* Demonstrate a 100% commitment to quality, EHS and ACE
* US Citizenship
* Must currently hold or have the ability to obtain Government Security Clearance

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of Operations experience within a Manufacturing and/or Shop Floor environment

Preferred Qualifications:
* 4+ years of Operations experience within a Manufacturing and/or Shop Floor environment
* Experience supervising Unionized employees
* Proven track record in team leadership roles
* Ability to work with all levels of management and communicate effectively
* Understanding and ability to drive quality and customer satisfaction through ACE operating system
* Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) Principles (e.g. Lean Manufacturing, ACE, QCPC, etc.)
* Candidates should be highly self-directed and able to learn quickly with a strong ability to drive and deliver results

Education: BA/BS Degree in Operations, Engineering, Business or, in lieu of education, minimum of 2+ years of experience in a Manufacturing and/or Shop Floor environment.
