Supply Chain Technical Specialist

Summary:

The Supply Chain Technical Specialist will provide holistic alignment among the Supply Chain departments to support the site strategy through system review and process authoring.

Responsibilities:

– Authoring and revising Supply Chain documentation, such as SOPs and MBRs, to ensure alignment and required updates.

– Accountable for developing and maintaining a process for system monitoring (including, but not limited to SAP, LIMS, Maximo and TrackWise).

– Assist in the development and execution of training materials in conjunction with the site training team as well as ensure adequate training is represented on all personnel ITPs and JDs.

– Interact with cross-functional Supply Chain groups to ensure alignment.

– Manage Supply Chain process hazard assessments and other safety initiatives.

– Establish and communicate performance metrics for Supply Chain as well as work with departments managers / supervisors for a response plan.

– Collaborates with Quality, Training and F&E staff to ensure utilization of data, systems, and interfaces optimize efficiency and cGMP compliance.

– Interfaces with all levels of the organization, including scientists, engineers, team managers, administrative staff, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), as well as OpEx partners.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, etc:

– This position required a strong understanding of cGMP and technical knowledge of Supply Chain operations.

– Working knowledge of SAP, LIMS, Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint

– Incumbents must have demonstrated experience in improving processes.

– The role requires an established history of successful participation on diverse work teams where combined contribution, collaboration and results were expected.

Education/Experience/ Licenses/Certifications:

– 3+ years of work-related experience in Supply Chain, Quality or Manufacturing.

– Knowledge of business generally obtained through studies resulting in a B.S.

– Strong knowledge of the supply chain process as it relates to biologic manufacturing.

– Has related experience in adapting to a fast paced, complex and ever changing business environment.

– Effective verbal and written communication skills specifically with technical writing.

– Proficiency in the use of computers and business software applications.

– Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities against ambitious timelines.

Position Summary

Supports the Strategic Supply team as a key member of a highly visible group to improve our supply analytics and strategy. The goal is to deliver the analyses and justifications required to manage Wine & Spirits supply over a multi-year horizon (ie target ownership and contracted portfolio mix over the next 10 years). Leverage new robust Kinaxis RapidResponse tool to help analyze and run scenarios on how best to balance supply portfolio. Involved in Supply & Demand discussions, reports, and delivering analytics to the business. Support implementation of a new contract approval process for our grape and bulk wine supply. Support blend formula management to ensure optimal quality and price of our products. Will help with project management of other key strategic Operations initiatives as needed. Strong cross functional collaboration with Production, Winemaking, Vineyards, Bulk Wine, Spirits, and Continuous Improvement teams is essential for this role.
As a key member of the Operations Finance team the role enables high visibility business analysis and insights in support of Constellations Operations Strategy.

Responsibilities
* Works under guidance of Strategic Supply Manager.
* Supports Supply & Demand discussions, reports, and ad-hoc what-if analyses.
* Partners with Vineyards, Winemaking, Production, and Spirits to support a long-term supply strategy.
* Understands key stakeholder needs and helps provide user friendly solutions and insights.

Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science preferred.
* Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in relevant positions. Equivalent combination of education & experience is acceptable.
* Experience developing a business case, business valuation, and corresponding financial models.
* Excellent demonstrated computer skills.
Advanced MS Excel, Powerpoint required; MS Project, JDE, Hyperion, SharePoint, Kinaxis RapidResponse preferred.
* Project management experience a plus.
* Ability to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization.
* Highly motivated, results oriented individual who excels in a dynamic environment.
Ability to gain commitment and initiate action.
* Individual who is self-directed, can manage multiple tasks and who can lead a project from inception to completion without extensive supervision is ideally suited to this position.

In this critical role, you will be collaborating with Senior Supply Chain Analysts to drive execution of inventory initiatives related to product launch, product availability and optimization strategies. Individuals in this role must be highly adaptable to change and shifting priorities, and also require minimal supervision.

A Day in the Life

Your responsibilities:

Develops strong, mutually beneficial relationships with field staff and internal business unit partners, including sales reps, district managers, commercial/sales ops, and sales finance

Proactively partners with field by brainstorming strategies to determine the desired inventory targets; Finds creative approaches to drive inventory strategies; communicates inventory level targets and logic based on BU methodology

Possesses effective soft skills to facilitate dialogue to promote and drive action even with unpopular business initiatives

Utilizes influence management skills to negotiate with field regarding the movement of product to meet case/bulk deal demand (fill from field process) or ensure achievement of inventory optimization targets

Identifies and executes initiatives with the field to proactively reduce slow moving, short-dated, or expired inventory

Manages the process of establishing new trunk stock or consignment levels; Recommends adjustments to field inventory levels and/or negotiates par levels

Executes field inventory retrievals in partnership with the field as necessary

Partners with field to streamline co-owned processes and drive consistency across BUs and regions

Executes and reports on the field cycle count process in accordance with regulatory requirements, Medtronic corporate policies and BU Finance needs, including: communication, escalation, research, reconciliation, transactions/adjustments, inquiries and response to quarterly audits

Manages established inventory levels as dictated by business model based on factors such as statistical data, sales input, GSC strategy, and current inventory status

Executes reporting based on needs of each business
