Retail Sales Trainee – Sears Home Appliance Showroom

The Consultative Sales Associate is responsible for enhancing the experience of customers and driving profitable sales by providing proactive consultative sales assistance and support to the customer, achieving department standards and goals, and performing sales-support activities to maintain a clean, in-stock, orderly and well-merchandised sales floor for conducting sales activities. Candidate must have day, evening, and weekend availability to work.

The Consultative Sales Associate will also:

* Identify customer needs and provides appropriate solutions using approved selling practices and guidelines
* Meet or exceed associate performance standards consistently
* Understand website navigation, and proactively leverages technology in order to facilitate the customer experience and provide customer solutions when the product is not available in the store
* Maintain current knowledge of merchandise lines; product features, benefits and availability; Sears Advantages, such as the price match and price protection policies; and, if applicable, delivery, installation and/or service options to respond to customer needs
* Optimize credit, gift card, Shop Your Way Rewards and multi-channel opportunities (and, where applicable, Protection Agreements, Sears Purchase Protect, delivery, installation and other miscellaneous income opportunities)
* Process customer transactions in the Point of Sale system, including sales, returns and exchanges in accordance with authorized procedures
* Complete required training in the expected timeframe, and participate in ongoing learning opportunities
* Partner with other selling and sales support associates and cashiers to provide superior customer service (i.e., locate merchandise, assist customers, answer phones and ring register)
* Perform other duties as assigned

Showroom Salespeople provide expert product selection assistance and design advice to showroom customers. As a Showroom Salesperson with Hajoca your specific duties will include, but are not limited to:

Assisting showroom customers, assessing their needs, guiding their product selections, and successfully closing the sale

Providing customers with reliable information regarding product specifications, product suitability, pricing, and availability

Entering Sales Orders and Bids, expedite purchases, and maintain customer communication to ensure an accurate and timely order processing

Maintaining product literature files to ensure the most current and accurate information is always provided to our customers

Meeting or exceed monthly required Gross Profit dollar targets

Keeping the showroom clean, neat, current, stocked, and safely displayed

Minimum 2 years in customer service and/or sales

Outstanding customer service and communication skills

This position with
Pental Surfaces is often the first point of contact for designers, architects, builders or homeowners who come into the showroom. The vision is to provide exceptional customer service while giving advice or helping guide customers through their decision process. It is important to be able to build rapport and credibility while communicating aesthetic and technical information in a positive and professional way.
Customer Service is our number one priority and takes precedence over all else.
This position requires an outgoing, friendly, enthusiastic and welcoming demeanor.
There will be a fair degree of variety from one day to the next, especially with regard to personal interactions. The job requires one to shift from task to task quickly, and s/he needs to maintain a strong sense of urgency.
