IT Analyst (Release Manager)

Standard

Position Summary

Coordinates transitions to new vendors, new business or technical processes, new technology or significant changes to current technology. Implements changes that will affect business or technical processes with a moderate to high impact for stakeholders and will present challenges in complexity or deadlines. May perform duties in one or more of the following disciplines: Business, Data, Business Intelligence, Security, Quality, User Experience, &/or Production Control.

Please note, this role will act as a Release Manager:
* Plan and manage small to medium software releases of varying complexity
* Participate on larger releases as needed
* Ensure release results adhere to standards, including Sarbanes-Oxley auditing standards
* Contribute to the positive business value, and meet agreed upon scope, schedule, & quality objectives

Due to the nature of this role, flexibility in schedule is necessary. Releases are planned well in advance and may require working after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends as necessary. Due to this, there is also flexibility for some work to be done from home.

Utilizes technical guidance received from leaders and higher-level peers to address complex problems and projects.

Collaborates across multiple teams to drive analysis management processes (i.e. business, quality, experience, system).

Ensures actions are in alignment with enterprise strategies.

Participates in the execution and implementation of solutions.

Minimum Educational Requirements and Experience Equivalencies:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Business or related field, plus two years’ related experience; or

Associate’s degree in a technical field, plus four years’ related experience; or

High school diploma plus six years’ related experience.

Job Description

We are looking to hire a Landfill Gas Tech Specialist to manage the landfill gas system. This position will be based out of the Front Range Landfill located just North of Denver, CO

Successful Gas Tech Specialist will be considered for advancement opportunities after 18 months of employment. Promotional opportunities will require relocation

Responsibilities include:
* Ensure landfill gas and waste water systems remains in compliance with all Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
* Perform routine system inspections and repairs on the landfill.
* Work with Region Engineer and Landfill Manager to ensure compliance.
* Maintain relationships with landfill employees as well as consultants, vendors, customers generating industrial waste.
* Assist in landfill environmental reviews and audits.

The ideal candidate will have:
* Ability to follow established procedures with minimal amount of direct supervision.
* Understanding of landfill gas systems and/or well field technology.
* Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, contracts, federal, state and local regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to prepare reports at the state or local levels.
* Must be mechanically proficient on a variety of systems and field instruments.
* Ability to define problems collects data, interpret data and draw valid conclusions.
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Minimum requirements:
* Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
* 2 or more years of practical Landfill Gas System operation and maintenance.
* Ability to relocate for promotional opportunities
* Some direct work experience in one or more of the following areas:
+ environmental site assessments and remediation
+ environmental audits
