SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, the Admissions Advisor is responsible for prospective student entrance process of the campus Admissions department with emphasis on customer service.
Gathers information on students, pre-screens and pre-qualifies potential students.
Performs routine clerical, office and data entry tasks.
Provides excellent customer service to prospective and enrolled students in accordance with the mission and purpose of the university.

EDUCATION:

Bachelors degree required.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of up to two years experience in a counseling or marketing related environment required.

Experience with MS Office.

Experience with data entry and multi-line phone aptitude.

Experience with reception and telephone techniques.

Admissions Assistant

Standard

As the Admissions Assistant, you will be responsible for the duties listed below; however other duties may be assigned.

Must be able to build relationships in order to obtain referrals from various community members for our services.

Conducts tours of facility for prospective residents whether walk-ins or scheduled admissions.

Gathers financial information and works with business manager, billing, and case manager to confirm benefits and obtain authorizations.

Assist with arrangements and confirmation of all admissions.

Participate in and assist in coordinating community marketing events.

Communicates effectively with referral sources, physicians, RN/Case Managers, insurance companies, patients and families.

Tracks pre-admission referral activity daily.

Assist with arrangements and confirmation of all admissions.

Verification of payer source, i.e., Medicare, managed Care, Medicaid, Insurance.

Obtain prior approval number from payer on a per case basis when authorized.

Perform secretarial duties as necessary.

Order specialized equipment as indicated (review contract content for need to obtain prior approval for authorized payor. Example: CPM, Flexicare, when authorized)

Communicates and coordinate move-in with other departments ensuring transition is smooth and rooms are move-in ready

Prepare and complete admission paperwork and administer with families before or upon admission.

Admissions and/or Marketing experience in a healthcare or similar setting are preferred. Some Social Services background and a High School diploma are strongly desired.

Hours are Sat thru Wed 9 am to 5 pm
