Information Security Analyst Internship

Job Summary:
This analyst position will contribute to department efforts in the ever-changing landscape of cybersecurity within Identity and Access Management. The Directory Services team is responsible for providing secure authentication and authorization services to Federal Reserve System applications across the country.

Assignments will focus on department improvement efforts in information management, data analytics for metrics and monitoring, as well as technical tasks in support of the operations of the technology and overall security service. With supervision, the intern/co-op may participate in the implementation of national projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Desire and aptitude to self-educate on new technologies and concepts

Ability to take ownership and be accountable for small to medium sized tasks and small projects

Good problem solving and analytical thinking skills

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, including experience working with popular collaboration and communication tools such as Microsoft Office Suite.

Desired Skills :

Knowledge of data analytics, data visualization with statistics

Knowledge of technologies and concepts such as: cloud security and hosting (*aaS) services, network and directory security, or scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python and Perl) is a plus

Knowledge of business intelligence and collaboration tools is a plus

Education and Experience:
Seeking a candidate working toward an Undergraduate/Graduate degree in Economics, Information Security/Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field

Candidate must be in his/her junior or senior year of undergraduate college, or in a graduate program

Technical work experience is a plus

As a Security Officer you will perform a variety of hotel security duties and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees and the property as well as the property’s assets.

Requirements include a High school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of security and safety experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification in safety and training and/or licensed as a Security Officer or Law Enforcement Officer may be required.
Certified CPR, First Aid instructor and training in law enforcement techniques may be required or highly desired.
Working knowledge of local laws, investigation methods, OSHA requirements and fire codes and life safety codes. You may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

What Your Day Is Like
* Maintains good public relations with our guests and outside contacts alike.
* During night shifts you will check in guests who arrive after hours to the property or handle late night check outs, so you will be trained on how to operate our systems to provide this system smoothly.
* You will assist our guests with any service request that arise during your shift.
* Patrol the property and maintain daily security logs, crime reports and legal notices.

Sr. Info. Security Analyst – Threat Intelligence

This position provides consultative support and analysis for the purposes of supporting, integrating, and enhancing information security posture related to Mayo’s ecosystem of people, processes and technology. Job duties include integrating multiple disciplines into the information security-based functions, including policy, process, and procedure development, business process analysis, data analysis, data informatics, systems analysis, risk management for strategic and operational planning and information security solution development and delivery. Displays an ability to identify and define problems as well as generate and implement potential solutions while involving appropriate people in the process. Provides project management and analysis support for complex enterprise projects. Consults with Mayo leadership to provide unbiased and accurate information, analysis and recommendations to support and advance strategic and operational initiatives for Mayo Clinic. Leads and participates in multidisciplinary teams evaluating strategic, operational, and financial aspects of the mission. Contributes to the enhancement of group effectiveness by exchanging information, collaborating with other team members, and providing constructive feedback. Information Security Engineer – Threat Intelligence

The Information Security Engineer position requires an information security professional who is results oriented, multi-disciplined, and comfortable in implementing system security solutions in multi-vendor environments. This position is responsible for the research, technical analysis, configuration, and administration of systems and procedures to ensure the protection of information processed, stored or transmitted in Mayo Clinic’s computing environments. This position assists with the security design, consultation, and technology governance oversight for various projects and initiatives. The incumbent also assists system users relative to information systems security matters and undertakes complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. This position acts as information security liaison to various business units and the information technology department. This position receives general supervision and guidance from Information Security Directors and Senior Information Security Engineers.
