Senior IoT Solution Architect

The IoT solution architect will be working to develop a global IoT platform that connects customers, equipment, and core business systems. The solution architect will play a major role in developing and implementing the solution stack. The solution stack will represent some combination, or all of, the end point sensors, control systems, gateways, security, data management, solution development, and network, all in multi-vendor cloud based scenarios.

In this position you will perform the necessary leadership, analysis and design development tasks related to the development of an enterprise solution architecture (ESA), but with particular focus on IoT implementations. You will collaborate with domain architects, COE architects, and other IT leaders to develop and review project designs. You will work closely with project managers to ensure solution design meets project and enterprise architecture objectives.

Primary activities include:
* Complete Architecture Assessment at project initiation time to ensure proper alignment
* Coordinate solution architecture implementation and modification activities
* Facilitate the evaluation and selection of software product standards, as well as the design of standard software configurations
* Consult with application or infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture, and identify when it is necessary to modify the solution architecture to accommodate project needs
* Document all solution architecture design and analysis work
* Work closely with the program management office (PMO) or project office to ensure alignment of plans with what is being delivered.

Solution Architect – Mobile Platform

ServiceNow is seeking a Mobile Solution Architect to devise solutions across the entire ServiceNow platform and implement processes, scenarios, and documentation to support ServiceNow cross-product use cases specifically in mobile. You will have a strong influence on the product strategy, vision, roadmap and how the solution will be implemented.

You will work with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and become a subject matter expert in Service Nows mobile offering.

* Generate product documentation and video content for the new mobile offering
* Research business best practices, use-cases, and features and contribute findings to craft an industry best solution
* Acquire and expand working knowledge of all ServiceNow applications
* Contribute to and maintain a showcase of cross-product solutions created on the ServiceNow platform

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

* Strong Mobile experience, IT Operations Management or ITSM experience would be advantageous
* Background in Enterprise software including cloud, on-prem, backend data systems, and classic enterprise architectures
* Mobile Device Management and/or Application Distribution experience
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills
* Exceptional attention to detail related to researching technical solutions
* Awareness of the ServiceNow platform
* Exceptional organizational skills
* Experience writing technical documentation
* Experience working cross-functionally

Desired qualifications:

* BS/BA in computer science or similar
* IT Operational Management experience
* MDM Certifications are a plus

Primary responsibilities include:

* Provides input into overall direction, development and integration of warehouse control systems, warehouse automation (AS/RS), and self-guided vehicles.

* Ensures sound integration of processes and assigned systems across First Quality.
* Serves as Subject Matter Expert for assigned systems in the areas of Integration, Warehouse Control Systems, Material Handling Equipment, AS/RS, and Self-Guided Vehicle Integration to Business Systems (SAP, JD Edwards), and Analytics/Reporting Analytics.

* Ensures relevant Automation systems data is available in First Quality Analytics platform.
* Leads/manages delivery of Class B Automation Systems projects/solutions (medium size/complexity) on time, within budget and to customer expectations.
* Ensures optimal application performance and maintainability of assigned systems thus enabling scalability and continuous updates from software vendors.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field Automation / Material handling Systems experience with a focus on warehouse management systems or material handling equipment automation or equivalent education/experience will be considered.
* 7 plus years of progressive IT experience with at least 3 years in
Automation Systems, warehouse control software implementation and integration.
* Strong problem solving and decision making skills with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
* Experience with File transfers and socket-to-socket (including wireless) downloads, uploads and confirmations, inquiries and reports systems.

* Experience/exposure to Programming Languages preferred: C/C++/VC++, JavaScript, VB/VBA, ABAP, C#; ASP, XML, HTML.
* Required experience in JAVA, SQL, PLC programming.
