Senior Lead, Shared Services Operations

As a member of the R1 Management Team you will be responsible for assisting in the management of daily operational processes within R1 Shared Service Center (CBO). The Senior Ops Lead plays an intricate part in providing analytical expertise for the revenue cycle management process while identifying work flow issues and providing solutions. With sharp attention to detail one would discern client problems and communicate/escalate root cause issues to appropriate parties. The Senior Lead must be able to proactively monitor daily work flow and staff productivity while adhering to R1’s key revenue performance and quality metrics across multiple hospital systems.
This role will report directly to an R1 Revenue Cycle Manager within assigned department.

Your day to day role will include:
* Oversee a team of hourly staff, evaluate work and current results based off of KPI’s.
* Compiles, analyzes large sets of healthcare data and communicates performance data and associated action plans to R1client leadership.
* Uses problem solving skills and planning abilities to diagnose and solve root processes, payor and system issues impacting revenue cycle objectives.
* Have an understanding of R1 client processes and workflow.
* Develop and implement recommendations and provide formal feedback on project results to management.
* Coach and develop operations leads.
* Create detailed reports for management.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information under HIPPA guidelines.
* Other duties as assigned.

You Have:
* Obtained Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or other science related field.
* Experience in an analytical environment and evidence of organization skills.
* Exemplary problem solving abilities and practical analytical competency to identify trends using data.
* Functional computer knowledge, including Excel spreadsheets, pivot tables and Microsoft Office products.
* Outstanding time management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks while remaining self-directed.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team on multiple tasks and assignments.
* Prior experience managing a team.

It would be great if you also have:
* Facility revenue cycle experience
* Advanced proficiency with tools like Excel (vlookup), Access, and Tableau

Role& Responsibilities

Thisposition is responsible for supporting the collection activities forthe
Shared Service
Center, North America, driving the collectionsteam to meet collections targets.

Lead a staff of collectors in the US, as wellsupport the outsourced collections team in India

Maintain collector dashboards to trackcollector performance

Main point of contact for all collectionsissues related to Houston Collections Team and Accenture Team.

Provide internal and external training forcollections team. Provide consistent and concise information toBusiness for collections issues when requested

Assist with escalation process for customerdisputes and ensure timely resolution

Regularly interact with Billing, Sales, andOperations departments to ensure efficient collections, resolvecustomer payment issues, maximize cash flow, reduce
DSO, andminimize bad debt write-offs

Identify opportunities to utilize third partycollection agencies more consistently

Coordinate the development& implementation of credit and collection policies andprocedures; analyze problems and formulate new collection procedures;and recommend changes in policy as needed, ensure that processes and responsibilitiesare clearly aligned and communicated

NorthAmerica

Qualifications

Minimum five (5) years Credit and Collections experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred, however, college and/or equivalent experience will be considered

Proficiency with excel

Experience with high volume commercial collections, credit analysis, full cycle AR, preparing aging and bad debt reports, account reconciliation,cash application/posting, credit reports, write-offs

Strong leadership skills required
