Position description

The RN Registry Abstractor will be assisting with Mayo Clinic Electronic Health Record (EHR) conversion with abstraction of specific medical information from our current EHR into the new EPIC system.

Qualifications

Graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited nursing school. Minimum of two years clinical experience as a registered nurse. Must have been employed as a Mayo Clinic Registered Nurse within the past 18 months. Must have current Minnesota RN License.

Additional qualifications

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred. Ability to work flexible hours. Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting. Demonstrated leadership, effective communicator, and excellent critical thinking skills.

License or certification

Current Minnesota RN License or current license deemed acceptable by the Minnesota State Board of Nursing.
