Day Warehouse Manager

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Responsible for the timely and accurate receipt of produce, grocery and misc. items ordered by FreshPoint.
All items will be verified for quantity and quality and placed in specified areas of the warehouse.
Accurate completion of receiving documents.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Employee must pass a background check, pre-employment post offer drug screen and lifting test
* Must be able to communicate well with others.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks
* Pass the minimum hiring requirements
* Education or experience to fulfill the essential functions and responsibilities with a minimum of 6 months warehouse experience or equivalent experience.
* Maintain certification to operate all PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) trained to operate

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Quality control on all items received
+ Constant inspection of all inventory for quality control
* Safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks
* Proper completion of product placement log
* Inventory counts
* Follow all receiving procedures
* Proper completion of spoilage log
* Proper product rotation
* Schedules are set to the needs of FreshPoint
* Accurate counting of all items received
* Preparation of warehouse for night warehouse crew
* Pitting trucks- if authorized and trained
* Follow the PWMs (Preferred Work Methods) for warehouse
* Other duties as assigned to include order selecting, rotation and quality assurance
* PIT equipment inspections

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
* Warehouse environment- temperatures varying from -12 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit
* Shifts start between 4:00am and 10:00am and end when the work is completed
+ Shifts generally are between 6 and 10 hours long, overtime as needed
* Work schedules are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
+ Days off will vary
